Eligibility Criteria:
- BE / BTech/ME/MTech/ MCA (CS / IT Branch only)
- No Percentage No Passout
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, macOS) on servers and client machines.
- Regularly update and patch systems to ensure they are secure and up-to-date.
- Monitor system performance to identify potential issues and bottlenecks.
- Manage and maintain networks, including LAN, WAN, and VPN connections.
- Troubleshoot network-related problems, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Manage antivirus systems, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection systems.
- Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration tests.
- Monitor logs and alerts to identify and respond to potential threats.
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Train users on system usage and best practices.
- Develop, test, and implement disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime during outages.
- Use monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds) to track system health and performance.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Manage virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Skilled Required:
- Expertise in managing and configuring operating systems like Windows Server, Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS), and macOS.
- Knowledge of Active Directory (AD), Group Policy, and user authentication mechanisms.
- Proficiency in file system management, including partitioning, permissions, and backups.
- Skills in configuring and maintaining intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, or Datadog.
- Basic knowledge of managing databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
- Familiarity with IT frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, or NIST.
