Job Description:
This position is of Technical Content Writer for Telecom products. HFCL develops multiple products – Enterprice Access Points, Home Mesh Routers, Unlicensed Band Radios, 5G Fixed Wireless Access CPEs, 5G Small Cells, IP/MPLS Routers, Enterprise & Campus Switches, and EMS/NMS. We believe in delivering the very best product experiences for our customers, and in providing state of the art, user-centric content that complements diverse range of networking products and IT solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Research, outline, write, and edit content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements
- Gather information from subject-matter experts and develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
- Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards
- Gain deep understanding of products and services, and translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content
- Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of target audience, turning insights into language for user success
- Develop and maintain detailed database of reference materials, including research, usability tests, and design specifications
- Evaluate current content and develop innovative methods for improvement
- Drive a unified content strategy, content development best practices, and delivery and feedback mechanisms in the team.
- Identify the significantly complex information needs of target audiences, develop appropriate content plans, and manage the execution of those plans.
- Create high-quality technical content for complex product and solution deployment needs.
- Contribute towards strategies for enhancing content quality, usability, and next-gen content offerings.
- Ready to operate the products to have first-hand information on what should be captured in the manuals.
Skills Required:
- Excellent Technical Writing Skills
- Proficiency in writing GUI & CLI documentation
- Experience in working with engineers to improve user experience (ex: design, UI), refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content
- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter
- Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences
- Good understanding of networking domain
- Aptitude & drive to learn new products, technology & tools
- Familiar with Adobe FrameMaker or similar authoring tools
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
